OMG! Book Giveaway

My online friend Keris Stainton has her first young adult book in print. Della Says: OMG! was published by Orchard Books in May of this year but because Keris lives in the U.K. the book wasn't immediately available here. Actually, it still isn't available on Amazon.com (boo) unless you own a Kindle and it's sold out at Amazon.ca where I bought two copies. One for myself and one for a blog giveaway right here. Yeah!
About the Book: Don't miss this fantastic debut novel - Keris Stainton is a fabulously contemporary, witty and fresh new voice who teen girls will adore. Della's over the moon when she kisses her long-standing crush at a party -- but then she discovers her diary has disappeared...When scans of embarrassing pages are sent to her mobile and appear on Facebook, Della's distraught -- how can she enjoy her first proper romance when someone, somewhere, knows all her deepest, darkest secrets?

About the Author: Keris Stainton is a new, incredibly promising young writer, with a magazine journalist background and with her finger firmly on the pulse of what rocks in a teen girl's world. She co-edits the online reading group Chicklish ("Reader, I snogged him...") -- www.chicklish.co.uk. Keris also has her own books blog (fiveminutespeace.co.uk) in addition to her original blog -- www.keris-stainton.com.

this looks really cute. I have kept a diary...for awhile actually. I worried a bit that someone would read it, but it was always in my room and the only people that could would be my family and they aren't like that.

The whole reason I haven't kept a diary is I'm worried someone would read it!

I have a jounal now, have kept one always since my mom's best friend gave me one in oh perhaps third grade (I am now 36) I have kept everyone I ever made. I have a HUGE box of them. MY brother was a huge concern, I am sure he did read them, he and I had a terrable time as kids. My husband I trust and I have been honest with him and told him that what I write is the dragons in my head and he won't like it - so don't read it.My daughter now has one -she is nine and she writes in it, she has filled three now. She also has alot of dragons in her head ;) Once on paper though, they can no longer torment you, it is a great trick!

I tried to keep a diary when I was about ten, but was afraid my siblings would read it, so I never wrote anything good in it.
